Lab Technician - Position Available Immediately

Applications are invited for the above full time (40 hours per week) position. The successful applicant will work as part of a team in the diagnosis of animal diseases, and laboratory research studies related to the development of animal vaccines. The job will involve support duties for the lab team. Duties will include booking in and preparing samples, basic equipment maintenance and calibration, stock checks, preparation of reagents, fixing and staining cells and basic cell culture. Compliance with Good Laboratory Practice will be required at all times. Experience is not essential as full training will be given.

Early starts (07:00) will be required. Salary will be in the range of £11,564 - £13,473.

Applicants should have at least 4 Standard Grades at Level 3 or above, including Mathematics, English and 1 science subject. Written work must be neat and legible.
