Temporary Assistant Administrator (Part Time)

We are currently looking to recruit a temporary assistant administrator (part time) to help with general office duties during our peak testing season.

The post involves working in a small admin team which performs all office related tasks within the company. Flexibility to assist with all admin functions is required but duties will include:

General office work such as faxing reports, scanning documents, photocopying, and filing.Entering sample details into a dedicated database.Assisting with the reporting of laboratory tests.Answering the telephone and dealing with customer enquiries / transferring calls to other individuals as appropriate.Reception duties, receipt of deliveries and welcoming visitors.The post requires a friendly outgoing manner both with colleagues and customers and also the ability to work well in a busy office environment. While experience of work in a busy office, telephone duties and general administrative work would be an advantage flexibility to attempt new tasks and adapt to changes in working patterns are more important.

This will be a temporary contract for 6 months starting in December. Standard working hours will be 20 hours per week (08:30 - 12:30 Monday to Friday). Some flexibility in working hours is possible.

Salary will be in the region of £6,896 - £7,957 p.a. depending on qualifications and experience.
