Temporary Assistant Scientist

Applications are invited for the above position. The successful applicant will work as part of a team preparing samples for the diagnosis of fish disease. Compliance with Good Laboratory Practice and ISO:17025 will be required at all times.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a degree in one of the Biological Sciences to gain practical experience in the field of diagnostic virology. Full training will be given in all techniques used. The position will be available for approximately 2 months starting in October.

The work will vary in volume depending on the arrival of samples however the majority of work will be performed alongside our normal operations and as such the start time for this position will be 10:00, Monday to Saturday. Due to fluctuations in demand the days of work each week may differ and the hours will vary from 4 - 8 per day. Salary will be in the region of £7 - £9 per hour + bonus structure depending on qualifications and experience.
