Determination of antibody status in pigs is used in herd-based studies to confirm freedom from specific infection, or to determine epidemiology of infection achieved the herd structure.
Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV)
Our ELISA uses a UK viral strain as antigen. It has excellent specificity and sensitivity when measured against benchmark assays, but with the additional advantages of speed and economy.
We offer the Haemagglutination Inhibition (HAI) assay for the detection of antibodies to swine influenza viruses. The virus strains used are those currently most relevant to the UK swine herd, i.e H1N1 in both its classical swine and avian-like 195852 variants, H3N2, and the recent H1N2 isolate. Results are presented as HAI antibody titres.
Swine Enzootic Pneumonia
Antibodies to Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae are detected by ELISA.
